Jul/24/10 in: Tips & Tricks
Sometimes coming up with a design can be difficult. There are times when you wish there was an easy button to finish projects for difficult clients, but sometimes its the simplest idea that ends up being the best. While using plug-ins and having the newest software gives you many advantages, sometime you have to utilize the resources that are available.

It’s amazing how little can be done to create such an creative design. Some people may take a look at the image and see random shapes, and maybe try to put a meaning behind the idea. It’s actually just part of a transition I’m animating. Instead of looking for all the newest plug-ins that are out, try playing around with some of the basic functions of your current software. You can see that a simple radial gradient with the “color” filter, a lens flare, and some color correction, makes a much more powerful design.

Another way to create simple yet stylish designs, is by having a good color scheme. In the picture below, I made a simple render of some 3D text. I cut out the background and added a gradient. Play with the shadows and clarity of the image and you have another cool design in a few minutes.
